Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it.
Psalm 127:1
Statement of Faith
The Holy Scriptures, in their original form are divinely
inspired, without error, and are entirely trustworthy. They
constitute the only supreme authority in all matters of
faith and conduct.
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in flesh: we
affirm his virgin birth, sinless humanity, divine miracles,
vicarious and atoning death, his bodily resurrection and
ascension into heaven, and his personal return in power and
glory.
The salvation of lost and sinful humanity is possible
only through the merits of the shed blood of Jesus Christ,
received by faith alone in Christ alone apart from human
works; faith is preceded by the regenation of the Holy
Spirit.
The Holy Spirit enables believers to live a life of work
for and witness to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ultimately, God will judge the living and the dead.
Those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, those who
are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
The above statements are meant to be a general summary
of our beliefs. A more comprehensive expression can be found
in The Heidelberg Catechism, The Canons of Dort, The Belgic
Confession, and The Westminster Confession.
